How I can help?

My job is to represent my constituents of Milton Keynes South West in Parliament. This means that I take up issues on behalf of my constituents or point people in the right direction if their inquiry can be dealt with by another body. I ask questions and make speeches in the House of Commons, pressing government ministers for an answer or raising an issue of concern to constituents.

If there are any matters you want me to pursue on your behalf, the most effective way is usually to write me. Bear in mind that I am likely to send a photocopy of your letter to whoever the relevant person/organisation is, together with a covering letter of my own asking them to comment or investigate.

I hold regular constituency surgeries, and welcome my constituents to these. Please email me or ring my Constituency office on 01908 225522 to make an appointment.

For information on visits to the House of Commons, individuals and groups should write or email.

Parliamentary Protocol

There is a strict convention at Westminster that Members of Parliament do not seek to intervene in matters affecting the constituents of other Members. In normal circumstances, therefore, I will only be able to pursue matters raised by my own constituents. If you are not sure who your MP is, you can find out by putting your Postcode into the Constituency Finder on the House of Commons website.

How to Contact Me

I am happy to receive questions and queries relating to my job, my work and the constituency. I will try to respond to all letters or emails sent to me. I am sometimes snowed under with the amount of post I receive and it can be difficult to reply quickly. My staff and I will do out best to get back to you as soon as we can.
