Defence Contract Benefits Milton Keynes 03.07.2008

Local MP Dr. Phyllis Starkey has welcomed the government’s announcement of a contract worth nearly £1 million to Milton Keynes based company Westfalia Separator Limited as part of a £3bn defence project for two new aircraft carriers. The Milton Keynes firm will be providing DIESO centrifuges.

 

Dr. Starkey says:

 

“I am very excited to see Milton Keynes benefiting from the sizeable defense contract that has recently been awarded to Westfalia Separator Limited. This contract will help to create the future aircraft carriers, to be named HMS QUEEN ELIZABETH and HMS PRINCE OF WALES, which will be the biggest and most powerful surface warships ever constructed in the UK."
