Anne Welcomes NHS cash bonus for Swindon | |
Anne Snelgrove, (Parliamentary Private Secretary to the Secretary of State for Health), has welcomed extra millions going into the local NHS. The financial position of the NHS has shown a massive improvement since last year. A deficit has been transformed into a surplus and Swindon will benefit. Who Gains? Avon and Wiltshire MHP NHS Trust will receive £2,789,000. Swindon and Marlborough NHS Trust will receive £835,000. Anne Snelgrove said: “The NHS has had to make some tough decisions, and has achieved a big financial turnaround this year and we are reaping the benefits in Swindon.” “No-one now waits more than 6 months for their operation in Swindon, compared with waits of up to 2 years under the Tories. The extra millions will help in my campaign to see an end to NHS waiting lists in Swindon by December 2008.”
