Stephen went to Arrowe Park
Hospital to support staff and thank them for all their hard
work.
The Maternity Unit has
received a succession of accolades this year. First an independent
report by the Healthcare Commission ranked the Unit as ‘Best
Performing’ on Merseyside. The Unit also received a maximum Level 3
rating from the Clinical Negligence Scheme for Trusts (CNST) after
scoring 100% in all the assessment criteria making it among the top
18 maternity services in the country.
Mr Hesford was
given a tour of the facility by Linda Birch, Clinical Specialist in
Women and Children’s Services. He was shown some of the new and
improved facilities available and met with staff and spoke with a
number of new mums on the ward.
